| Digital technology is spreading fast in dental fields worldwide at this moment, the introduction of CAD/CAM process to dental industry closed the history of manual prosthodontics and significantly improved the process with shortened processing period and reduced cost. |
| Furthermore, new ceramic prostheses are much more similar with natural teeth than previous metal ones.
The following is a patented prothodontics process from IN3D Co., France. |
Make impression of patient¡¯s teeth. |
Make a plaster cast based on the impression. |
Make inlay, onlay, and bridge with resin or wax according to the plaster cast. |
Scan the resin or wax teeth model with Rexcan DS and export the data into .STL format. |
| Load the STL data to CAM software to create a machining path. |

Machine a ceramic block along the machining path created in CAM software. |
Roast the ceramic block in a furnace to produce the final crown. |

The dental treatment completes by applying the ceramic crown for the patient¡¯s tooth.
Comparing to the previous manual prosthodontics process, the adoption of computer aided ceramic crown method improved the entire procedure greatly in terms of shortened processing time and reduced cost. Additionally, a much more natural color is obtained as the same time. |
