Our Solutionix C500: The Most User-friendly 3D Scanner

The Solutionix C500 is a structured light 3D scanner optimized for scanning small- to medium-sized objects. With dual 5.0MP cameras, the C500 provides excellent data quality at a high resolution. In addition, the product's high level of user friendliness makes the scanner even more attractive.

Automatic Scanning and Active Synchronization

3D scanning does not always take much work. With a single mouse click, users can get their whole object scanning done very easily and quickly. Another click to actively synchronize the model and camera views, enabling users to recognize any scanning position and to add more scan where it may be needed.

Automatic Calibration

Once the calibration panel is installed, clicking the calibration wizard will guide you through an automated calibration process. The whole calibration process may have been essential, but was difficult for users to follow. Now you will experience a genuinely user-friendly system and a fully automated procedure leading to extreme convenience.

Optimized 3 Axis Automatic Turntable

The C500 industrial 3D scanner is capable of performing scanning tasks easily and rapidly. Solutionix's 3-axis turntable (TA300+) can effectively capture areas beyond the pre-existing limits. The TA300+ is optimized for automatic scanning of small- and medium-sized objects and can hold up to 10kg. With the TA300+, it is possible to work in cramped conditions without much difficulty.

Detachable Scanner Head

For scanning of objects that exceed the size or weight limit of the TA300+, the scanner sensor can be easily detached from the C500 stand and then installed on a tripod or other suitable stand for manual scanning.

No Targets or Manual Alignment Needed

Targets are no longer needed for scanning jobs with the Solutionix C500. Using pre-calculated information for axis calibration, accurate alignment is possible without the need for targets or manual registration.

Flexible Scanning Volume

It is equipped with four different types of scan areas from 90mm to 500mm for maximum efficiency and utility in several industrial sectors. For user convenience, the C500 is designed to allow easy changing of the measurement area by simply replacing the projector and camera lens.

Maximized Convenience

In order to maximize convenience, the C500 structured light 3D scanner was designed as a portable desktop scanner. It can be easily assembled and placed on office desks or any convenient surface. Users can perform scanning tasks without having to move away from the desk area.

Color Texture Mapping

The Solutionix C500 may be used in quality inspection or reverse engineering because of its ability to acquire high-precision scan data easily and quickly. Its added functionality, to acquire high-resolution color information, makes it easy to utilize it in 3D printing, CG, and web-based real 3D data fields.

We discovered Solutionix C500 at the Control 2018 exhibition in Stuttgart. The main benefits that convinced us to acquire the device are its great usability thanks to the automatic rotary lift unit and actuator, the fact that target points are not required most of the times, as well as the scanner’s high accuracy and its compact design. We mostly use the Solutionix C500 to scan plastic cases for electronic control units. The fast comparison between CAD and the actual state facilitates our work significantly. We use all four lenses and the maximum field of view of 500 mm is absolutely sufficient for our components. The ezScan 2017 software is very user-friendly, allowing us to complete a scan within a few minutes. We highly recommend this scanner.

We checked out different systems and finally decided on the Solutionix scanner. We purchase many of our injection molded parts from external suppliers. They manufacture the parts according to our specifications. Measuring injection molded parts without a 3D scanner is very time-consuming. The main task of the scanner therefore lies in the area of quality assurance and the assessment of prototypes. Especially false color images help us to recognize deviations quickly and reliably.
